Construction Skills – SEATS

Introduction

This course is for those who have supervisory responsibilities and are in the construction industry and are required to prove to their contractors that they have an understanding of their environmental responsibilities.

Delegates are required to complete a multiple choice assessment paper at the end of the course.

Upon successful completion of the course delegates will receive a CSkills SEATS Certificate on completion of the course that is valid for 5 years.

Full course price includes CITB certificate, Construction Site Safety – Book E: Environment GE700, Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme case studies, light lunch and refreshments.

If your company is in the CITB Levy scheme £50.00 can be claimed back per day for the length of any Site Safety Plus course

Learning Outcomes

This one day course will provide candidates with an introduction to environmental issues on construction sites. It is designed to meet the basic environmental knowledge that the sub-contract chain are required to prove to major contractors.

Course Content

At the end of the course delegates will have gained knowledge and skills in:

  • Outline of environmental management systems
  • Waste management
  • Pollution prevention and water management
  • Good neighbour – statutory nuisance, communication
  • Archaeology and heritage
  • Energy and resources
  • Being a responsible contractor
