The NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate is recognised as the standard qualification in health and safety for the non-safety specialist embarking on a role with Fire Safety responsibility.

Who should attend:

Non-specialists in Health and safety who hold a role in Fire Safety responsibility, or looking to work in a role with Fire Safety. The syllabus is based on National Occupational Standards in Fire Safety at Level 3, which has common units with the Emergency Fire Services National Occupational Standards. Therefore, the NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificates may also be of benefit to fire services personnel developing their underpinning knowledge as part of the Integrated Personal Development System.

Delegates will need to have successfully completed the National General Certificate – NGC1 within the last 5 years or intend to take the NGC1 in order to achieve the full certificate

Aims and Objectives

On completion of the course candidates will be able to conduct and review fire risk assessments and advise on the fire preventive and protective measures within most workplaces.

Assessment Methods
Written examinations on each of the two taught units and a practical assessment with a written report

The examinations are assessed and moderated by NEBOSH. Certificates are issued to successful candidates.
