Martin has over 20 years of experience in training and is passionate about learning and development; he is committed to excellence, working in partnership with the client to achieve measurable change in an increasingly dynamic and competitive market place.
Martin worked in the publishing business for many years after completing his degree at Kingston University. He has worked in Advertising Sales and Management for Business-to-Business publications, specialist sports consumer titles as well as regional newspapers. The knowledge and experience of training that he gained led him to a second career in Education. After completing his PGCE qualification at University of East Anglia he taught in number of Secondary schools reaching Head of Department level as well as acting as a Staff Governor. He then moved into the Higher Education sector becoming a lecturer in Business and Travel & Tourism. As a Course Director for Level 3 Business, Course Leader for BA (Hons) Professional Studies, and a member of the BA Business Management lecturing team, he lectured on a number of Business Management topics with Entrepreneurship, Managing Innovation and Creativity, and Management Strategies his particular specialities. It was through delivering Services to Business courses that he discovered the opportunities for training to commercial organisations. He is a firm believer in life-long learning and is well regarded as engaging and personable facilitator
